Virginia Beach Psychiatric Center offers a diverse selection of treatment programs for adults age 18 and older who struggle with a mental health disorder, chemical dependency or both. VBPC offers programs on an inpatient and outpatient basis to accommodate the treatment needs of each patient and the severity of their condition. A no-cost assessment of the patient helps staff determine patient’s specific needs and recommend an appropriate level of care. Various treatment modalities, such as individual, group and family counseling and physician oversight, are utilized in a coordinated manner to achieve short-term stabilization of immediate crises. The multidisciplinary treatment team delivering these services includes board-certified psychiatrists, psychologists, registered nurses, licensed social workers, case managers and milieu and activity therapists.
