Our Student Services team is dedicated to providing support to students who may be facing challenges, whether academic, emotional, or social. Below is an overview of the key services available, including the roles of School Social Workers and School Psychologists.

 

School Social Workers

Role and Responsibilities

Emotional Support: School Social Workers are trained professionals who provide emotional and psychological support to students. They help students cope with stress, anxiety, and other emotional challenges.

Crisis Intervention: They are available to assist students in crisis situations, offering immediate support and resources.

Resource Connection: Social Workers connect students and families with community resources, including counseling services, food assistance, and housing support.

Advocacy: They advocate for students’ needs within the school and community, ensuring that every student has access to the support they require.

How to Access

Students can reach out to School Social Workers by visiting the Student Services Suites or by scheduling an appointment through Canvas. 

 

School Psychologists

Role and Responsibilities

Assessment and Evaluation: School Psychologists conduct assessments to identify learning disabilities, emotional disturbances, and other factors affecting student performance.

Collaboration with Staff: School Psychologists work closely with teachers and staff to create supportive learning environments and implement strategies that enhance student well-being.

Crisis Management: They play a crucial role in crisis management, helping to develop plans for students in need of immediate support.

Students can schedule an appointment with a School Psychologist by contacting them through email.
